Together with Peter Drucker, he founded FRIMECO in 1995. 10 years prior, he completed his technical education in Austria. Since 1987, he was already engaged in commercial positions in the Friction Industry, where he was able to acquire his extensive know-how. In addition to his executive work at FRIMECO, he is also a regular participant at the SAE Brake Colloquium (Society of Automotive Engineers) in the United States and has overall responsibilities for the marketing and sales of all products. Outside of work, he enjoys playing soccer and is the active president at his local sports club.
As the General Manager, Gabi Hoefs heads the FRIMECO location in the United States. She is responsible for import-logistics, as well as the marketing and distribution of all FRIMECO commodities. The proud mother of two sons was brought up in Germany, where she also completed her education in business with emphasis in logistics. She has lived in the United States for over 20 years and looks back on an extensive management experience in the Automotive Industry. The nature-loving amateur photographer also currently serves on the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) Board of the Washington DC Section.
In 2007, Frimeco opened its production facility for special steel fibers and synthetic metal sulfides in Bosnia / Sarajevo. Damir Memagic played a decisive role in the function as an influential manager from the selection of the site to the entire planning up to the realization of the entire plant. In addition to his administrative duties, he acts as a link between production and the company’s headquarters in Vienna. Even before his commitment to Frimeco, he looked back on many years of experience in the automotive industry. He is the father of a son and in his free time he finds recreation and relaxation in nature while fishing and hunting.
